My name is Ko Im. I grew up on Guam. I went to Penn then Columbia Journalism. I was a TV reporter and previously anchored for CBS News. Then I traveled the world as a writer and got my yoga teacher training. As a certified yoga and meditation instructor in New York City, I have led wellness retreats around the world and teach mindful movement meditation. I serve as deputy editor of NY Yoga + Life Magazine and has written for Cosmopolitan, Glamour, The Washington Post and USA Today. I write personal essays about my egg freezing or other experiences I’ve had which I’ve discovered that being open about these personal topics connects me to others. I authored the book, “Broke, not Broken.” I froze my eggs at 32 years old and started @theeggidiary on Instagram to openly document the process.
“I was very fortunate that work paid for my egg freezing cycle. It was the best investment I could have made for myself and why I started Instagram account @theeggidiary account to showcase for others.” –Ko Im
