My name is Vicki Rokhlin. I am Ukranian born, Atlanta bred, and current reside in New York City calling this home for the past 6 years. I’m a MOTH StorySLAM winner, a contributing writer for VICE, and feel most alive when giving a voice to people and things that matter and hoping to make the world a little sunnier, a little kinder, and a little more magical as a result. On the cusp of my 28th birthday, after a frank conversation with my gynecologist, I decided to freeze my eggs in 2015. My ‘why’ for egg freezing was not for a man or a ticking clock, but for me to have the ability to live out my dreams on my own schedule. I had a rising media career, newfound happiness with my singledom, coupled with an insatiable desire to travel, meant that I didn’t envision getting married anytime soon, and couldn’t imagine having kids before the age of 35. In February 2016, I am embarking on an 18-month solo backpacking world tour across 6 continents in search of self discovery and documenting kindness around the world. I’ve been dreaming of this trip for seven years or more!

I see you don’t monetize your website, so you are just providing all of this educational material about fertility for free? That is very nice of you. I saw Vicki’s story in Time, talk shows and few other articles in NY. Did you do a video with her like some of the other women? She is so beautiful. I am too scared to freeze my eggs, because of medical reasons like Vicki. I was hoping to see if my relationship works out first before doing it. Dating is tough in New York City.
